Questions? Let’s talk.
Frequently Asked Questions
What camera gear do I need?
Any camera you’re comfortable with works. A DSLR or mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens (200mm or longer) is ideal for wildlife. Bring what you have—we’ll work with it.
I’m a complete beginner. Will I be able to keep up?
Absolutely. Bharatpur Photography Tour tour is designed for mixed skill levels. We’ll cover fundamentals like exposure and composition while also diving into creative techniques for those with more experience. Everyone learns at their own pace.
What’s the difference between single and double sharing rooms?
Double sharing means you’ll share a room with another participant (same gender). Single occupancy gives you a private room. Both options include the same amenities and meal plans. If you need a single room, please confirm availability before making the payment.
What if I don’t have photo editing software?
We’ll primarily work with accessible tools during our sessions if you have Lightroom or Photoshop, great. The focus is on understanding the process, not the specific software.
How much walking is involved?
The park is explored via e-rickshaw, but there will be little to moderate walking. However, we may stop frequently to set up shots or observe wildlife quietly. The pace is relaxed and designed for observation, not endurance.
What wildlife can I expect to see in February?
February is the winter migratory season at Bharatpur. Expect a wide variety of birds—pelicans, cranes, storks, eagles, kingfishers, and hundreds of waterfowl species. You might also spot deer, nilgai, and other mammals. Every visit is different, which makes it exciting. Please also note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, as nature is unpredictable. We will try our best to capture the best out of what we have available.
Is the tour suitable for solo travellers?
Yes, many participants join solo. It’s a great way to meet fellow photography enthusiasts in a relaxed, collaborative setting. Solo travellers typically opt for single-occupancy rooms.
What’s the group size?
We keep groups small—typically 4 to 8 participants—to ensure personalised attention and a more intimate experience in the field.
What happens if it rains?
February in Bharatpur is generally dry, but the weather can be unpredictable. Light rain won’t stop us—some of the most atmospheric shots happen in overcast conditions. If there’s heavy rain, we’ll adjust the schedule and use the time for extended editing and discussion sessions.
Will there be internet and phone connectivity?
Basic Wi-Fi may be available at the accommodation, though connectivity may be limited inside the park. This is a good chance to disconnect and be present with nature and your craft.
What’s your cancellation policy?
100% before 30 days of the date of starting the tour. 50% 7 days before the tour. Post which, no refund will be possible for us.
How early should I book?
Spaces are limited to maintain quality instruction. We recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance. Early bird discounts may be available.
Are tips included in the package price?
No, gratuities for guides, drivers, and service staff are not included and are at your discretion.
Do I need to arrange my own travel to Delhi Airport?
Yes, travel to and from Delhi Airport is not included. You’ll need to arrange your own flights or train tickets to reach our meeting point at Delhi Airport by 9:00 AM on February 13, 2026. We will pick you up from Airport.
