About Kaziranga Photography Tour
This is a wildlife photography tour, designed for photographers who want to slow down and engage deeply with the landscape, light, and rhythm of Kaziranga.
Rather than chasing specific species, the focus is on making strong, intentional frames — working with weather, habitat, behaviour, and moments that often get overlooked.
The group size is kept intentionally small to allow space for discussion, feedback, and meaningful learning — both in the field and during post-safari sessions.
What Makes This Tour Different
Small group format
One jeep per 3 participants + host/guide
Two safaris daily (morning & evening)
Focus on composition, light, mood & storytelling
Daily image reviews, post-processing & discussions
Comfortable and near the safari gate accommodation
This is not a leisure safari.
This is about process, intent, and visual clarity.
Your 5-Day Kaziranga Photography Tour Itinerary
Day 1: The Journey to the Land of Giants
Our Kaziranga photography tour begins at Guwahati Airport. We’ll meet between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM for a scenic 5-hour drive through the heart of Assam. Upon arrival and check-in, we’ll dive straight into an orientation session. Unlike standard tours, we focus on visual intent. We’ll discuss how to look past the “documentary” shot and start seeing the light, preparing you for the safaris ahead.
Day 2: Finding Your Creative Flow
We enter the park for our first morning safari (6 AM – 11 AM). This is about observation—getting used to the unique landscape of Kaziranga. After a midday break and lunch, we head back out for an afternoon session. Evening Workshop: We don’t just look at photos; we review them. We’ll begin basic post-processing discussions, looking at how to enhance the raw files to match what you felt in the field.
Day 3: Mastering Light & Animal Behavior
With four safaris under our belt, we start refining your approach. Kaziranga’s early morning mist offers incredible opportunities for atmospheric shots. We’ll focus on composing with intent, waiting for the right moment rather than just clicking. Our evening review session will dive deeper into “The Why”—why did a particular frame work, and how can we repeat that success?
Day 4: Consistency and Personal Style
By Day 4, the focus shifts to quality over quantity. Whether it’s the Great Indian One-horned Rhino or the elusive Barasingha, we aim for fewer, stronger frames. We’ll discuss building a “visual story”—ensuring your shots from the week have a consistent look and feel. This is where your personal style as a wildlife photographer starts to emerge.
Day 5: Final Reflections & Departure
After a final morning in the fresh Assam air, we’ll check out at 7 AM. As we drive back to Guwahati, we’ll use the time to recap the week’s learnings. We recommend booking flights after 3:30 PM to ensure a stress-free end to your wildlife photography workshop.
