Plan your visit

Post-monsoon and winter provide clear views of Anamudi and good chances to photograph Nilgiri tahr on open slopes; early monsoon brings lush grasses and misty scenes but changeable weather.

Light and terrain
Open slopes offer strong side- and backlighting; mist and fast-changing cloud often create dramatic conditions but can limit visibility.

Viewpoints along the designated visitor trail; no hides.
Good to know
Private vehicles stop at the base, and access is by the park shuttle to the Rajamalai zone only. The park closes for the tahr calving season. No food or plastic inside.
