Neora Valley is a steep, mist-covered cloud forest in the Darjeeling hills, much of it still little explored. The trekking is hard, and the forest shelters red panda, clouded leopard and many endemic birds.

Why this place matters

One of the least disturbed and least surveyed forests in the eastern Himalaya.
