Simlipal Tiger Reserve

Simlipal is a large sal forest of waterfalls and high plateaux in Odisha, the only place with wild pseudo-melanistic tigers. Its dense terrain makes any predator sighting hard-won.

An irreplaceable genetic reservoir for the melanistic tiger phenotype and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
